Anatomy and Physiology 12

Anatomy & Physiology 12 studies the human body in regards to various organ systems and biochemistry. Students study how these body systems work together to maintain homeostasis and respond to the external environment. Students will participate in a variety of activities including discussions, lab experiments, and research projects. The course is aimed and offered to grade 12 students. Being a senior science course, it can be quite demanding at times. Students are expected to work hard and are encouraged to ask questions, have an open mind, and have a thirst for knowledge.

Life Sciences 11

Interested in studying about life? Life Science 11 is the course to take! This introductory biology course allows students to engage in learning and investigating biological processes that give rise to the diversity of life. The course focuses on the following major themes: biodiversity, ecological relationships and evolution with some emphasis on organismal life. During the development of these themes, students engage in activities, games, documentary screenings, inquiry, discussion, case studies, projects, labs, and dissections that involve scientific reasoning and analytical skills. It also serves as a foundation for progressing onto Anatomy & Physiology 12 and further post-secondary studies in the life sciences.
