Welcome to the Art Department
Holy Cross offers Visual Arts at the Junior and Senior levels. Visual Arts is offered for half year electives for grades 8 - 10 and full year for Art Studio 11 - 12.The Visual Arts curriculum is designed to enable learners to explore the world through an artistic lens and to express their ideas, opinions, beliefs and emotions. You do not have to be an artist or have any visual arts background to take the course at any grade level. Artists will experiment and explore using a variety of mediums and processes. To become more creative, students will require patience, a readiness to take risks and willingness to try new approaches, and techniques.Students will be given the opportunity to reflect and self-assess, along with appreciation for their art work and others.
